Dr. Nishan Silva is a General Practitioner who has achieved his Fellowship from the Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He is a Life Member of the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) and serves as a Medical Educator for the Fellowship Support Program (FSP) of the RACGP.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Silva is a Health Informatician, holding Fellowship status from the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (FAIDH) and the British Computer Society (FBCS). He is also recognized as a Certified Health Informatician for Australasia (CHIA). Furthermore, he is a Health Professions Educationist, with an Associate Fellowship from the International Association for Health Professions Education (AFAMEE).
Dr. Silva completed his primary medical training (MBBS) at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2008 and relocated to Australia in 2018. His professional experience includes working in Campbelltown, Fairfield, and Camden hospitals, as well as serving as a General Practitioner in Deniliquin, NSW. With over 15 years of experience as a General Practitioner, more than 14 years as an educator, and over 11 years as an informatician, he also possesses formal training and experience in Health Administration.
A dedicated researcher, Dr. Silva has published and reviewed extensively in the fields of Primary Care, Health Informatics, and Medical Education. He is actively involved in multiple academic and technical committees and organizations. He is a Director and a Co-Founder of Quantum Clinical Care Pty Ltd.
